At least we outnumber the Admins... we could stage a revolt!

I might not care about the new rule, but if you start a revolt count me in.

All seems a bit heavy handed to me. I didnt take part in many of these debates as i come on here to get away from all that stuff. However i did browse on or two topics and found that all the people discussing these things seemed to be in a non confrontational way. In fact it read as fairly constructive and pleasant. If thats the case then whats the harm? All a bit Big brother-ish.

If there were offensive avatars and logos etc then those could have been dealt with on an individual level.

shame.
BTW, James T Kirk would win!!

Well I personally tended to avoid political and social topics on this board unless it was an issue I really cared about however these limitations are fairly ridiculous why should all of us be limited because a few cant reign in their emotions.

I do have some sympathy for not allowing political sig's and avatars, they're hard to avoid if that's what you want. But if people have a problem with the threads they should be mature enough to just not click on them in the first place.
Agreed. Usually I just stay away from the hot topic threads unless I feel like throwing my two cents in. I mean I can understand shutting down a thread that has gotten totally uncivil, but to not allow political discussions seems a bit extreme to me.
