Sniff, the irony of life: When you are a kid, you cant await to get grown up. As soon as you are, you wish nothing more then to be a kid again.

Unless you live you life like a kid, and remain young at heart...

I lucked out: When I was a kid, I wanted to be a special effects guy. Now that I'm grown up (kinda-sorta, depending on who you ask) I'm working in TV... closer than most people ever get!

And yes, it's great to have a job you love to get out of bed in the morning to go do!

To join the Acadamy and the Galactic Civil War? Beware Luke, the dark side is tempting and easy.

The way around this question is to never grow up.

My realistic second choice career was to own an automotive electronics installation store with a friend of mine from college. I loved that stuff back then, but radar detectors, car phones, and alarms are now obsolete and auto manufacturers are putting in better stock audio systems. The concept was hotter in the 80s than it is now I think so based on that alone, I think I'm better off. I also wanted to be the keyboardist for GENESIS, but the job was already taken.

Advice for anyone wanting to become a physician: If you are absolutely, positively, no way otherwise convinced that there is nothing else on the planet that would make you happy, then go ahead. If there is something else that could make you as happy... then you'd be better off doing that.
