So far we know about one actress cast as orion.

I wonder whether they stay with the TOS concept or incorporate the ENT idea of female Orions controlling the male members of their species with their pheromones and even males of other species under the pretext of being sold as slave girls.

Well the Cage version was closer to ENT's.

I just think that there are too many chauvinistic aliens in the ST universe already, think about all those chauvis (Hirogen, Kazon) Janeway had to deal with. So a matriarchy is something new for the bad guys like the Orions (for UFP members equal rights for men and women should be standard), especially if the women control one of these hulks:

the cast list on IMDB lists Diora Baird as 'The Green Girl' ....pleeeeease let her be an Orion... she's so hot
