Well they will be collectables one day. My TMP poster from '79 is a testament to that.

I have the Gold Key Comics myself, they are worth about 1/2 of what they were 5 years ago, thanks to the drp in Trek fandom.

They sell TMP posters on Ebay all the time. Mine has the Phase II Enterprise on it, and the diffrent font for the logo.

I have mixed feelings on the "keep em mint" philosophy....I think we buy these things to enjoy them. When we buy them with the idea of putting them away in storage so they retain their value it's like we're saying "put them away so you can bilk some other Fan in a few years". I do like the idea of framing them though and would absolutely recommend that. I'll also suggest that for at least a year or two, these actors are probably going to be available at conventions so it should be possible to get autographs.

Definately, I agree things like posters can be framed so cheaply and it keeps them mint.

would be awesome to have those four posters autographed.

I just wish they would have some conventions in north carolina were i live . we have nothing really convention wise. it gets depressing. man what i wouldnt give for a star trek convention in my state.

I own quite a few posters... but the only ones I have framed at my home are the Kelly Freas portraits of the TOS crew... most people remember them because of "Scotty in the kilt," and it also shows Spock in the "Tholian web" spacesuit with the helmet off.
