Default Strange find **Possible Spoiler**

Dont scroll down if you dont want to see

I had recently purchased a GPS and was looking for background themes for the screen input. I came across this gif image for the splash screen and it was entitled New Star Trek. I wonder if this is representative of the new Enterprise. Who knows but I thought it was unique and interesting none the less.

Some of the nacelle details look like the teaser and not exactly like the other artists renders I have seen. I wouldn't expect finding some official render in such an obscure place, but I figured I would post anyways.

Yeah I had thought his looked a bit more blueish, but I think you are correct. Strange choice that the creator of this wallpaper gif used his design.

But I think what we will see in the movie will look closer to this, As I know has been discussed in length

Yes! The little thing in the front of the ship is the same! Forgive my technical ignorance, but I'm really glad they're keeping the Enterprise basically the same.

I hear that. Look at some comparisons and an overlay. Looks like this could be it. I wasn't so convinced before but it looks close to me.

Looks fan-made from a GK design, especially with the font choice which certainly doesn't match that used for the new film. And the nacelle fins may be a similar style, but they don't line up well in placement or angles from the concept to the teaser image.

Yeah agreed with you in general. It is hard to reproduce the angle of the 3d model in the teaser to a 2d concept drawing.

This could have been created (fan made) after the teaser was released also and made to emulate the teaser version. But it sure looks bold either way.
Or this could be a draft concept before they built the actual in 3d and made a few tweaks in the realized movie version.

My guess is that we will see Pikes era Ent. and perhaps a refit for when Kirk takes over command that is evolved. Cant wait!!

Am I the only one who hates the overly bulbous bussard collectors on Gabe's nacelles?

No I also find them slightly offputting but only slightly, and acceptable if need be.

I think Gabe's design and what we'll see in the film are 2 completely diffrent things.
