Default The coolest thing ever done by Gene Roddenberry other than Star Trek.

For my money it was the 1977 movie "Spectre" with Robert Culp and Gig Young. About a couple of demon hunters fighting the forces of darkness with ancient tomes at a spooky English castle with a replica of Stonehenge in it's backyard with a basement from Hell. The film is very risque' for it's time with scantily clad Succubi, and deadly demons and occult rituals, even a dominatrix or two. It's hard to imagine how this film actually got shown on Television in that era. It must have been heavily edited, but it was interesting and fun to watch.

I've never heard of it. Might have to try to find it.

Now The Questor Tapes had alot of promise and probably the most polished of GR's ideas.

Obviously the Questor idea was reused as Data on TNG.

All of GR's piolts from the 70's are not avilible on DVD as far as I know. If your lucky, you might find an old VHS at a yard sale or flea market.

There's a "promo" of Spectre available at youtube. From what I can see, it is available on DVD. I found some old listings for it on internet sale sites (from 2, 3 years ago).

I'll bet you it's a DVD-R of an old VHS (I do alot of this.) SPECTERE was released in the early 80's VHS boom. Remember when eveerything under the sun was on VHS in the early 80's at video stores??
