I agree. I think this movie is about to be the best one...ever. I think Abrams is on exactly the right track, and I really believe that 99.9% of the fans out there will be thanking Abrams when it's all said and done.

I think for the most part, most of the negative stuff out there" is just a product of imaptience because wating is so difficult in the midst of anticipation and anxiety from not being sure of how this is going to look. We all deeply love Star Trek, and so right now we're waiting to see what's going to happen to our baby when it gets out of surgery.

We want everthing now...trailers, advertisements, all of the hubub and hoopla. In the end though, it'll be worth the wait so let's just enjoy the ride and hold on to our hats.

Maybe they only pushed the date back so I'll have more time to watch all the "Star Trek" series.

Trek fan....Wars fan. I'm both. Neither is better than the other. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. And it's really sickening when you see pretentious wannabe brainiacs talk down Star Wars just because it is an action sci-fi. Or Alpha wannabe gunslingers and Jedi say that Trek is for nerds and idealists.

Ya know what...I got words for the both of ya's.

Fer Chrissakes, get out of your mommas' basements already.
And you'll find I'm the same way when it comes to Battlestar Galactica (original series vs. new series)

Now, with all that felgercarb settled, let me say this:

I think JJ Abrams may just turn out a good product. I sincerely hope that this movie does well, and blows me away the way TMP and TWoK did.

George Lucas's ILM
In ST VIII they even included a small Millenium Falcon in the background of the battle

If anything, it's rumor that bears some substantiation depending on who you talk to (re: who's supposedly actually seen the Falcon in the scene in question.)

But I'm still looking for it.

Isn't also rumored that there are klingons in one of the senate scenes of the prequals?

My take on Wars vs Trek? Trek isn't real but Wars is it happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. *LOL* JK
