Don't you think he spends too much time on Earth compared to older shows?

My fav recent companions have been Rose, Martha and Captain Jack. Donna will probably grow on me. She is not at all submissive and the Doctor has to get used to that as well. I was heartborken when Rose left because she was the closest thing The Doctor ever had to a relationship and I doubt he will be that close ever again.
David Tennant has been fantastic and has displaced Tom Baker as my fav Doctor. Even 30 years ago with a pitiful budget, the stories were so creative and unique that I didn't care about the cheap sets and costumes. I do agree that he should stay away from Earth for a while. Maybe the writers are trying to make the stories more accessable by setting them on Earth, but I like the more "far out" episodes better.

As do many, but they like to have accessible to non-sci-fi-ers as well. Which is nonsense.

I do not like Donna because of ''Caffrin Ta'e'' (Glottal stop in Tate there). She is too vulgar as an actress for me to like her, and this bleeds into Doctor Who!

I do like David Tennant as well, but I think that (upon reflection) Christopher Eccleston was at least as good and was under appreciated during his time. He was in fact: ''Fantastic!!''

I haven't seen as many Eccleston episodes but I did like him as well.

DNA: have you seen this yet?

I wish I was able to get more shows from the UK here in NYC. I've actually come to appreciate Catherine's humor, but then again I love just about all comedy from Great Britain. BBC-America tends to show episodes out of sequence. I caught a Chris Eccleston episode (DALEK) today on DVR and I do like him too.

So what do you think about David Tennant hooking up with Peter Davidson's daughter?
