Independence Day 2 stalled by Fox
I've been waiting for an ID4 sequel for years and as much as some on here wouldn't like to see it, I would absolutely love it! They have the story down, it all just hinges on Will Smith's involvement. Here's the story: http://www.latinoreview.com/news/exc...ed-by-fox-8233

As long as the story was compelling, I'd love to see a second ID4 movie.
Loved the hell out of the first one. Saw it five times in the theater. Those saucers on the big screen almost made me forget about Imperial Star Destroyers.

I think sometimes films should just be left as a one-off. Clearly the issue second time around is money (Will Smith was a box-office nothing back in the first one, now he's gargantuan money) but they also would probably end up spending ten times as much on effects and it still would probably not be the insanely stupid fun the first one was.
