James Bond fans, teaser trailer was finally released! Here's a link.

Anyone read the book?

I'm very psyched about the film -- it's a good teaser trailer (HD versions also available elsewhere online).

I'm creating a site for it ... if I ever get time to finish it! Hopefully will get some of it online over the holiday weekend.

As I understand it, the short story is largely unrelated to the story of the film, save for use of the title (which does figure in with the villain, among other things). I have the collection on order just to own it, but having learned the above a while back, I'm not rushing to read it beforehand now.

OOOH! Now that's a Bond movie.

BTW, a book just came out called "The Moneypenny Diaries" by Kate Westbrook, and it looks pretty good.

Looks really good. While Daniel Craig lacks most of the suave qualities exhibited by previous Bond actors, he is clearly the most physical. In fact, he's a different Bond for a different time.

Yeah, I agree, he's also closer to how Bond was portrayed in the book Casino Royale. When I first read it I was surprised at how rough and ruthless he was, he didn't seem like the movie Bonds at all, though they were Ruthless, they were just much more charming and suave than the way he's depicted in the book. Kinda like Dracula I suppose, you have Lugosi, the suave, good looking, charming Dracula and then there's the Dracula of the book, very different.

Indeed, and I think that's one of the reasons CR was so successful -- it didn't rest on the franchise's laurels of a suave, debonair, cool spy. Craig's Bond is an active, vulnerable agent confronting a dangerous world and getting punished in the process.

I had the good fortune to read the CR book before the film came out and was quite pleased at the connections. Until then, I 'applauded' the Brosnan films for being more like the old Connery days, but watching them now, they pale in comparison to this new Bond era.

I'd like to see it online too! Now to find the hours to get it done.

I just saw the trailer online, and to be honest, it wasn't all that great. But for sure I'm going to check out the movie. Did I mention I'm a die hard 007 fan?

I liek the Craig Bond, he is much closer to the novel depiction of Bond!!

This movie looks like it will be a worthy sequel to Casino.
