Question I think Azetbur was involved in the conspiracy...

At first I would not have even considered it, but after noticing little things I hadn't noticed before when watching the movie, I now think she was involved. Remember during the batter with Chang's Bird-of-Pray, we see the big shots looking up towards the second level of the auditorium where Colonel West would assassinate the Federation President. However, before we see Cartwright and the C-in-C look up, we see her look up. I find this a little odd...Maybe she wasn't as innocent as we were led to believe.

then

Interesting addition to the conspiracy but I really believe she was put out by what she believed was yet another UFP "propaganda" speech. Everyone else seemed bored, except for Cartwright. He was clearly nervous and sweating it out.

Did you gte your idea form Scotty?

Azetbur to Kirk: "You have restored my father's faith."

And their is a scene with her, Chang and other military guys who want her to attack the UFP but she resists them and says that the peace process will go on.

Those two scenes make it pretty clear that she was not involved. Large parts of the Klingon military might have been besides Chang, but not she.

The shot of Azetbur doesn't really tell us what she's looking at.

It's a shame Brock Peters is gone. I appreciated his work.

I always hated the colorful military additions to the uniforms...

I don't think she was in the conspiracy. Scotty, in the film, makes that speculation, which is later prooven false.

I think she's just on edge. Her father was killed in a coward's way, she's surrounded by what she feels is the enemy (until Kirk and company barge in).

As she said, she wanted Kirk to pay for her father's death, but she also had to allow this to contain the falcons in the military. And she might have guessed that the warmongers among the generals were involved in her father's death.
Despite their honour philosophy, it's not like Klingons cannot be tracherous even without Romulan involvement and coup d'etats might be common

We've seen alot of Kilingons involved in tracherous activity, but usally, except for the Duras family, they felt they were acrting in the best interests of the Empire.

Also in the briefing that Spock gave in the beginning of the movie, he did say that there was some opposition within the Empire regarding a peaceful solution, in favor of a military solution.
