You're not really in the minority. I just can't engage with it personally either. Though the work they put into it all is definitely commendable.

Personally, I couldn't stand NV at first, but I saw the teaser of "Blood and Fire, Part I", and it sold me completely. I like how seriously they are taking the characters, and I can't wait to see the Phase II refit Enterprise in action. I wonder if the bridge, uniforms, and props will remain unchanged? As Zardoz showed us on page 1 of this thread, they redesigned pretty much everything for the 1977 show.
