Unhappy Star Trek Theme composer died! Over a week ago!

Alexander Courage died on May 15!!!

He died!! I didn't know he was still alive! I'm just shocked that it took the news world this long to tell us! WE OWE HIM SO MUCH!!! Not a word was mentioned for 2 WHOLE WEEKS!!!

He had a good run, and he left us some great music to remember him by. Aside form Trek, he also composed for Twilight Zone, Gunsmoke, and several cop series. He was always a minimalist in his music, utilizing a selective orchestra to create a very intense mood. (I think I'm going to listen to the CD of "The Cage" and "Where No Man Has Gone Before" today... just to remember what a great talent this man was!)
