No kidding! Besides, I personally think Nemoy just sounded better

Default Yeah, hard not to be STOKED!

Okay, i've complained about the 'building a million-tonne ship in a gravity well' thing a million times, and yeah, i'm worried that these doods are going to run roughshod all over my childhood, yada yada.... but look, its dang hard not to be absolutely thrilled about this whole thing. It looked absolutely awesome! It is so different, but still so similar, so familiar.... I feel like they can screw it up and still get it right, somehow, since Abrams' thing is 'mystery', it seems like it will be just mysterious enough, just enough things hidden, to keep it real exciting and thrilling...

I really liked it. It's not that all my dreams came true with that teaser, but yet again it's just a teaser. Well crafted, very thoughtfully directed and nice eye candy. I would not have shown the imprint on the saucer or played Nimoys punchline though, to make non-trekkies really go "What the f*** was that all about". So it gets 3/4 from me.

I didnt really care for it. To me it was like a kick in the head from the filmmakers in that they not only didnt show us any images from the movie, they showed us an Enterprise that looks like it is a post 5 year mission refit (A refit, not THE refit via TMP) of the NCC-1701. The "under construction" comment was lacking in subtlety, and Nimoy's voiceover speech was out of place considering that Kirk/the captain is the one who normally does that speech, outisde of TWOK and TSFS.

I liked it, enjoyed the thematic symbolism of the whole concept, and it certainly amped up my anticipation of seeing the film. As much as I love watching it in HD at home, I'm sure glad I saw it in theaters first.

Very impressive and inspiring trailer, try playing it on a 48" LCD 1080HD and 7.1 on high volume...
