I have to watch Nemesis again. I remember being luke warm about it, so maybe it deserves a second look. I was hoping the special edition will contain all the scenes they cut out on it. That's what I want to see.

Quark,

The next chance you get to see a TNG episode, watch "All Good Things." In my opinion, it is the third best episode out of the whole series (behind Farpoint and BoBW). Next monday Sci-fi will start a marathon of TNG fan-favorites. Not sure if it will be only Monday or all week, but my guess would be next week sometime. Just check it out on Sci-fi next week, maybe you'll catch it. Trust me, it is good!!!

Will do! I'm surprised ScIFi is showing TNG so soon. This is great!

Personally, I loved Nemesis...despite its many flaws. It finally felt (as far as the Next Generation movies go) like a BIG SCREEN movie, instead of a two-hour episode (like Generations, First Contact, and Insurrection).

I loved the space battle/chase that took up the last hour of the film.

I did not dig:
Deck 29 on a 24 deck Sovereign class.
No mention of quantum torpedoes.
The Enterprise exhausting her torpedo compliment after only a couple of barrages.

But the overall look and feel of the movie was big screen. It still looks big screen even on DVD.

Next to Star Trek The Motion Picture, I thought this was Jerry Goldsmith's finest score for a Trek film.

I also loved the lighting they used. That definitely gave this film an epic look...especially in the dark recesses of the Enterprise, where Riker and the Viceroy fought.

To list my favorite Trek movies in order:

TOS movies--
The Undiscovered Country
The Wrath of Khan
The Search for Spock
The Motion Picture
The Final Frontier
The Voyage Home

TNG movies--
Nemesis
First Contact
Generations
Insurrection

Shinzon was fine, lots of things were fine...

The director was a disaster, and he didn't know Trek. You can feel that and see it in the film. None of the cast liked him. Jonathan Frakes was asked last August how Nemesis would have been different if he had directed, he responded, "don't you mean how would it have been better?"

It's salvagable if you listen to the dialog, but I think Stuart Baird really screwed it up.
