Default I'm not a big fan of Creation Entertainment

Care to know why? Of course you do. You're reading the thread.

I don't like them because they've stopped having conventions north of Boston. They used to have conventions in NH and here in Maine back in the 80's and 90's but not since 1995.

I emailed them asking if they'll be having any more conventions here or near my area. They said they don't do conventions here anymore.

I have to go all the way to Boston or New York for one.

Creation Conventions are really pretty dull anyway... there's never any fan-based programming... it's all set up around guest appearances, autograph lines, and the dealer's room. Anything else that happens that might be interesting or entertaining... is happening purely by accident.

No triva contests.
No (official) filk rooms
No (officially sanctioned) costume contests
No micro-programming
No model contests
No art show per se.

In a word: they are boring. They just trot out the stars as a means of seperating you from your money. ($25 extra for front rows, $10+ for autographs.)
I went to a Creation con in Aniheim... all I can say is, thank God we were next to Disney, or the trip would have been a total waste!

So then you ARE a big fan of creation entertainment. Why else would you be willing to travel the distances you do in order to attend their conventions?

I thought you would say that after I asked. I guess you are NOT a fan of theirs because they do not do conventions near your home anymore. There are rarely any conventions near where I live. Albuquerque is the closest "large" city to me and there is never anything. I would have to go to Denver or Pheonix to see anything. Denver is about 6 hours away and Pheonix is about 8 (i think).
