Something I never got, I want the guy/gal who governs my country to be a workaholic, not someone I would invite for BBQ. He should be the bst for the job, not someone you would liek in private life.
Apart from political opinions, if I read that Gore worked 16h/day and Bush worked less than 8 as governor of Texas, I'd go for the former if I were indifferent about their programs.

There's the rub: people elected a guy who they'd rather have a beer with... now how many people actually would want to?

Maybe we need to stop electing national leaders off of their beer-drinking personality and look for serious people with solutions to our problems... especially now that we know where electing a 'frat buddy' got us.

Regardless, when casting Bush, you need to cast someone who's sufficiently likeable to be believable as Bush... Bakula's natural charm works for him in that way. However, what works against him is the intelligence that shines through. Bush doesn't radiate smart, never has. Bakula would have to dumb it down some.

Bakula would have to plump up a bit to get the face, but could pull it off... how about Gracie the whale, or a targ?

What about Tim Allen?

It could be handy because there are even mug shots of when Tim was arrested for drugs...

Bakula is to big and looks all to sportive and he looks like someone who could have skills and life experience. Bush allways made the appearance of an aged college kid on me, posing as a politician and as a grown up in general (and most of the time failing). One of those actors could be the man of the choice for the job:

I would go with Jason Priestley:

Perfect, here you go:

Color his hair grey in your mind and imagine him to say weapons of mass destruction. Striking, isnt it.

I'm not sure he would not get re elected again.

I wonder if William Shatner could pull it off.
