It's a wonderful idea. But now i'm worried. It's like......

One of thos old Melodramas where the girl is tied to the railroad track screaming "Save Me! Save me! And though the hero is galloping at breakneck speed toward her, the train gets closer and closer and closer while the villain twirls his moustache and laughs, and the train gets so close you just know the hero doesn't have time to save the screaming girl, there's no hope and then... and then.... AND THEN......... You get a big message on the screen that says "Continued Next Week!".

...then the train activates the hover conversion flight circuits and flies into the future

The last time we saw Spock he'd just learned that his father had died and engaged in a mind meld with Picard to "share what {he} experienced" in his meld with Sarek....

So, will "My father is dead" be a catalyst for a flood of memories?

And to follow that line of thought to it's ultimate conclusion, what will it do to Spock if during a possible time-travel scenario he runs into Sarek alive and well? Now there's a rather odd and painful circumstance, having to grieve twice? Or there's another possibility even weirder that i really don't want to contemplate, and that is, what if Sarek in the past, has to watch Spock die again? This could get to be a Rod Serling situation real quick.

It does have a lot of potential though...I hope they've dealt with it in the script...

That's what I was saying about Young Spock seeing himself, too.

So, what if in that mind meld on TNG Sarek already knew when Spock was going to die, and passed those memories on to Spock.

So when Spock goes back in time in the new movie, he already knows his is going to die.
