Oh, please...if you're really interested, I could find you several to choose from...heck, Ebeneezer Scrooge almost certainly has his own groupies and what middle aged woman doesn't want a shot at the monster (especially after Young Frankenstein brought a few issues to light.....such as the giant schwanstuker).

And the Frankenstein actor in that film Peter Boyle was still fairly young in that film.

I thnk middle aged women want what the middle aged men do, just soemone they find hot, and fun.

And I love people who love people who love YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN.

I'd quote a famous line from the film which Wilder indirectly addressed to Teri Garr, but the Mods (or boardbot) would probably censor it, heh heh!

It was Brook's masterpeice, even more than Blazing Saddles.

I'd have to disagree with there....I would put Blazing Saddles ahead of Young Frankenstein...

Although "The Producers" may be ahead of any of them!

"Spaceballs" was my first taste of Brooks...and probably (because of sentiment) my fave.

Nah, I'm with Zardoz....Young Frankenstein is just wonderful. I love the look of the black and white, I love the attention to detail (those are the props from the old Frankenstein movies....Mel tracked down the prop master and found he had them in his garage!). The Producers is also right up there on my list of "best movies ever".

Great point! Hope Eliza and Zardoz apply as script consultants for STXII
Suppose Orci and Kurtzman remember "The Conscience of the King" (well if they know "Balance of Terror", they should also know this episode; Shakespeare served the franchise always very well) and even try to put Kirk's experience into this movie. How?
Flashbacks: Academy-Kirk remembering his younger self seeing the executions? Dialogue: Kirk telling Spock about why he entered the Academy, to prevent facism to occur again? Or even some in-joke reference to Khan via Kodos' eugenic ideas ?
It is possible if they really want it and it would be great but it would demand at least 2-3 minutes and even more when it is part of Kirk's development.
And I doubt they show us "three different Kirks": the young Iowa-Kirk, his decision after Tarsus IV to join the Academy where he became the intellectual Kirk, and then his change to the space-Kirk (because he realizes that he can't go by the book in space?). If they did, it would be great drama, less space battles, less sci-fi-gadgetery, less techno-babble, more of the stuff why so many people love TOS (and TNG if I might say so).
And about screentime: the other 5 crewmembers also have to be acknowledged and two other star fleet captains have to be introduced, Nero, etc. ...
