My thoughts/theory...

Bruce Wayne, Rachel Dawes, and Harvey Dent get mixed up in a love triangle. The Batman fails to stop the Joker from killing Rachel and mutilating Harvey Dent into into 2-face. While Dent completely looses his mind, Bruce Wayne slowly looses his soul in a quest for revenge.

Awesome! It's about time someone had the balls to make a Batman movie in the true spirit of the Dark Knight comic. Bale is so much more believable than Keaton/Kilmer/Clooney were. Batman Begins was just the begining. (hence the title?)

I'm glad this is finally available in HD! There's a good chance that this can be even better than the first film, perhaps due to Ledger's performance alone.

Btw, I don't know if it's still online, but I saw what is supposed to be a "jokerized" version of this new trailer. Basically as if Joker got a hold of the film and scratched all kinds of graffiti onto the print... it looked very wild, from what little I could see of it (obviously a cell phone bootleg).

I can't even keep up with the viral sites for TDK, but I dig it all. Can't wait to see the film.

There was an interview with the actor who's Harvey Dent in the LA Times this morning (sorry....blanking on the name)...and the implication was that Dent is the real villan...that the focus on Ledger has been useful because it kept the audiences off the trail of the real storyline....

Hmmm, could be... in a way, Eliza. I'll have to look up the interview now to read it! Just from generic Batman history and especially in some of the specific comics Nolan and the writers used as inspiration for this story, I think Dent may not reach full villain fruition until the third film.

Btw, he's Aaron Eckhart.

There was alot of speculation about Dent's transformation happening in this movie, but there's a snippet in the trailer where you can see his face (left side) in gasoline(?) and later there's a moment where you can see Dent in profile (right side) holding a gun --if you freeze that image you can barely see the edge of the mutilated side. And also notice the 2 sided suit he's wearing.

Shame Heath died, he would have been great as a returning Joker!!
