Default Beer

Hands down, best beer you've ever had; what is it?

(for those of you old enough to drink of course)

This is great...Trek & Beer...two of my all time faves! Great idea Livingston!

In Chicago here we have a great brewery called Goose Island. They have all kinds of different everyday beers, along with seasonal ones as well.

I went to a brewery out in Seattle a couple of years ago that had some great tatsting beers, but I can't remember the name. It was down by Pike's Fish Market....

As an everyday beer, I drink MGD Light. Whenever I go out, I usually change it up. Aside from the Goose Island beers, I'd say that Blue Moon and Guiness are probably the two choices that I look for when I walk into a bar, depending on my mood.

I like Bass and Harp quite a bit, think I've had Sapporo once, I like Kirin Ichiban quite a bit. Tough for me to pick a favorite though, I'll have to think about it.

Trek & Beer! Great title, if I could change the thread name, might change it to that!

I like Blue Moon quite a bit too, light Belgian beers, good stuff. There's one called La Jeffe or something like that, it's pretty good, almost sweet.

I would also add "Women" to that, thus completing the trifecta!

I learned a funny stat about Blue Moon about a month ago. Did you know that there are more calories in it than in a Guiness? Isn't that wierd?

I've had everything on Berengarius' list except for Watney's Red Barrel (never heard of that one).

When i was at the Experience I was hoping to have a Trek beer, but they did not have any. Trek themed drinks, yes, but no beer.

Anybody know of any? The only time I saw an actual beer not only consumed but also refered to as beer was on VOY (Paris) and ENT (Tucker & Archer).

While I'm currently a wine fan, I've done years with beer....

In no particular order, my faves:

Anchor Steam (okay, I lied...it's my favorite, it's number 1)
Guiness
Harp
Dos Equis
Anything WHEAT
Sapporo Dark
Tsingtao

Drank all of those...nice choices...

Look out for Tsingtao! She lies in the weeds, then she takes you out....

Maybe there should be a wine thread as well. Just don't take away from this wonderful beer thread!

BTW, does anyone know how to get to the "Captain & Coke" thread? I seemed to have lost my way..hiccup!)

Isn't Tsingtao great? That's actually the name of the brewery and they make vodka as well...it's really good vodka! I mean, it's the best vodka I've ever had --and, not to say I've surfed the alcohol ocean, but I've tried a lot of vodka.

Friends of mine lived in mainland China for a few years in college and they brought Tsingtao Vodka back with them and ....well oh my!
