Exclamation Indy looks good!

Harrison Ford is looking good at 65. He is really pulling this off and I'm sure the film is going to be as big a hit as the other movies, if not more so! Not to say that Temple of Doom was all that great, however I'm sure this movie is going to rock!

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

Hmmm... that pic just might be the best special effect since the last Star Wars movie.

the LA Times had an interview with Harrison Ford. He said they had fun with the fact he's so much older, they didn't try to pretend that he was still a young man. However, he did say that he found it amusing because, in fact, having a young child, he is more concerned with his health than he was when the other movies were made so is really in better shape than he was then.

Good point, Eliza. I think this may be the first INDY film in which Harrison wasn't seriously injured or ill during production. I did read long ago that the fact this script confronted the character's age was one of the main reasons Ford agreed to do it. That would imply many of the other rejected scripts kept Indy in his 1940s era... and Harrison was already 'complaining' that he was five years too old to play Indy back when TEMPLE OF DOOM was made.

As seen in the new trailer, he does look older there than he does in the photo above... perhaps it's the gray beard stubble.

It has to do with the lighting and the certain angles you see him in. As for the aging, they wanted him to age with the times. So, where as the first three films took place in the 1930's, this new one takes place in the 50's. So, in a way it really is catching up with his character after all this time, rather than having him supossed to be the same person he was when we last saw him. That was a very smart move.

Oooh, be still my fluttering heart! He looks good. I have been waiting for this since Indy, Marcus, Sallah and Henry Sr. rode off into the sunset back in '89. I have got to find baby sitter!

Speaking of Jones Sr., I wonder if they are going to have a scene with him visiting the grave of his father. That would be interesting. I mean, it would be the least they could do since Connery refused to return in this one. Or at least mention him in dialogue or something.

The 1957 setting is appropriate for the age of the charter.
