That's the crazy thing about US TV these days. Broadcasters won't give shows time any more. You're an instant success or you're gone. Given time Firefly would've got an audience. It was a special show, everything just clicked.

Whedon had already had proven success with "Buffy" and "Angel".

I just don't understand why FOX didn't give him the benefit of the doubt that he would produce another successful show if they ran the episodes in order.

I love it. If the show had been really given a chance I think it could have ended up better than Star Trek.

Firefly was one of the best shows out there. Fox never gave it the chance it needed to succeed. Serenity was good but such a downer...for both Joss did a great job making the characters likeable. I really like his stuff, big Buffy/Angel fan too.

Thumbs up for Firefly, I enjoyed that show. Shame it ended, at least they got a movie send off.

I just watched serenity last week. I put it off for 6 months because I didn't want it to end. All I have to say is

Firefly was brilliant. Serenity too. But it's not as good as trek.
