Default fanboy/girl, or Trekkie?

I tend to identify more as a fanboy, since my interest in science fiction, fantasy and horror extends way beyond just Star Trek... which would you classify yourself as?

a fan. I don't like to pigeon-hole myself unless it's "daddy" by my daughter.

The way I see it, 'Trekkie' indicates a strong and/or obsessive love of Star Trek in general, or maybe a general love of a certain series (or series, plural), and 'fangirl' indicates an interest in a specific aspect of the series-- a character, for instance, or a shipping. (As in a Spock fangirl or a Q/Picard fangirl.) So I consider myself both a Trekkie and a fangirl, for their different reasonings. =)

I just call myself a Star Trek fan.

I can't really call myself a Trekker/Trekkie because I'm interested in a lot of other things outside of Trek and science-fiction in general. Trek is just one of many things I'm interested in*.

*World domination is at the top of my list though.

I am a sci-fi fan because I enjoy many different genres. I do however believe that my fanatical obsession with Star Trek would qualify me as a Trekkie/er.
