Exclamation Promenade Directory

I finally found a picture that is close enough to read what's on the directory! For example, "Garak's Clothiers" or even "Andorian Fast Food". How awesome! Lol! Man, it's so cool how the producers made a big effort to make this as real as possible; even if the audience never got a chance to actually read the information or see the directory all that much. The only time I actually saw the directory, was when tourists or visters to the station stopped by and pointed to the destination they were looking for.

If you notice on the top right, you will even notice "Infirmiry - Dr. Julian Bashir".

The graphics department was always putting things into the Trek sets that were inside jokes. I think one of the most obvious was the planetary system in one episode of TNG, where the enterprise was to conduct a wargame... the planets in the system were named after the main characters in the Japanese anime series "Dirty Pair."

Doctor Crusher's medical readouts also included a running tally of how much insurance the patient still had available.

and fannish catch phrases were worked in constantly... "No matter where you go, there you are." "42" and many others showed up regularly.

I know, but in this case that didn't happen.

In the technical manual, there is a map of the promenade with all the shops

I always thought the Promenade was one of the best characters in all of Trek. A starship would be a nice place to visit, but I've always wanted to spend a few days exploring DS9. I wonder if they take Visa?

Hello...no money in the 24th century! lol Naw, but you're right it would be awesome to explore the Promenade. I mean, I know that once you get there (on the set before they tore it down in 1999) it wouldn't be as spectacular as you would have hoped, however it still would be nice to imagine what it would be like.
