Yeah, I'm more inclined to think that the uniforms won't be too different visually from those used during TOS as well. The cut of the uniforms may be updated and better tailored, but it will still look like the classic uniforms at a quick glance. I wouldn't be surprised if we we see the gray wraparound jacket worn in "the Cage" included though...

Those uniforms above are really awesome

About the only thing i dont like is the patch

It's a bit too much i think

Otherwise two thumbs up

Not sure why I care since I oppose the concept of this movie, but they should look as close to the originals as possible in color and general style.

I like those uniforms, but they are a bit too militaristic. For example, the belt and shoulder insignia are very un-Trek.

In what sense do you oppose it? Recasting? redesign? prequel?

Interestingly enough, Gene Roddenberry said almost the same thing about the uniforms in Star Treks II-VI. He thought they were too militaristic as well because of the belt and all the insignia straps...

Well as long as it fits the movie im good, i mean im a purist but at the same time this movie is gonna change things so as long as it all fits together then im good

If the uniforms in the film is up to the standard of the above I will be extremely pleased.
They are superb! The perfect mix of TOS and TWOK
