I'd like to bring an idea to the forums that was very successfully implemented in one of the gaming cites I belong to (www.charlieoscardelta.com). In order to bring the community and fans together and active in the months leading up to Call of Duty 4, they created a system where special tasks and surveys are given a certain point value, and when you accumulate a set amount of points, your rank increased, upwards from Private to Sergeant and eventually to General. The tasks reutinely involved things like Photoshop, costumes, or spreading news of the site through banners made in yet another task.

This can easily be adapted to Star Trek with its military-esque rank structure in Starfleet, and how better would we be able to grow together than in some healthy pro-Trek competition and missions? The movie crew could even drop us a few to get our imput.

Missions, ranks, then you have people thinking their mission has priority over someone else's, etc...

Better just to keep the "ranks" like they have now. Fun, but ultimately meaningless.

Right now our ranks are calculated by [post count (a whole new mission on its own LOL)
