Default Bush be Gone

I can't wait for this guy to leave office. He has caused so much trouble and chaos in the world, I don't think he could possibly do any more. He got us into this war that will probably never end, and made us the most laughable nation in the world. I just can't wait to see him gone! Who's with me?!!!

Well, I'm not an American, so I have an outsider's view of the situation; having said that, here's the view I have:

The theory of America is, without a doubt, the finest example of human interaction ever devised - 'political' or otherwise. The founding fathers had the right idea, and designed it to such a beautiful fare-thee-well that when I see how modern America has perverted their original intent, I'd be tempted to cry... if not for the fact that, both because of, and despite of, all it's flaws, America is still the greatest nation in the world.

Bush is a perfectly 'average' American president, making neither the Top Ten-Best or -Worst lists. There is no country BUT America that 'laughs' at it - most of those who scorn it, do so in the same sense that somebody incapable of matching any feat scorns it entirely to belittle their own failure.

While I would love to see America return to the ideal that it was first designed to be, I would settle happily for seeing it maintain that all-too-precarious balance between extremes... a balance, that by definition, equates to to a constant 'unhappiness' by all, as neither extreme is ever reached. Given the American system, there is nothing I fear most than the idea of anything done completely 'right'; therein lies the same equation that brought Hitler and his fellow socialists to power in ante bellum Germany...

insightful viewpoint there

yes the founding fathers got it right

and a good amount of the presidents after him

but I suppose we forget how difficult it would be to run a nation(RUN. A. NATION.), and, well, you can just be happy he's kept us all safe, for the most part

I know im of the minority here. But I feel that he is the right man for the job at the right time. I just have the feeling if Al won. We would have had several more attacks on the US. Al just has that "lets talk". These people who attacked us dont care if we are demos or repub only that we fight for freedom. He might not be a popular president but he is trying to get that job done. Every one is talking about how much this war is costing.
Right now its at 4% of our gnp. During Trumans time national defense was at 13%.
My only problem is that if you decide to got to war. You should use EVERY means necessary to win that war. I think even if you dont like the president you should stand behind the "presidency" demos or repubs..we are all Americans 1st.

ok everyone shoot down CaptRay.
tell me where im SOOO wrong.

Well, when it comes to people dying for no reason, and taking over another country, that is when I begin to care. Who are we to say no one else can have nuclear weapons? Who are we to decide to take over another country, let alone a country that had no involvement with 9/11?

and about him keeping us safe...yeah 9/11, Katrina...perfect examples. I guess sitting and playing the guitar while millions of black Americans lost their homes and died was more important for this President.

Bush is not the moron that plays on TV. This is a very smart man, sadly...

This guy owns a lot, and I mean a lot, of stock in oil companies. The war the we (U.S.) are in is only making his wallet fatter.
While we are at war, we can not get any oil from overseas, we have to Solly rely on American oil companies for our fossil fuel.

Oddly enough over the past few years the oil companies have raised the cost of fuel, closed down the Alaskan pipeline, only re-opened a hand full of refineries after Hurricane Katrina. The American oil companies say they have to charge what they do to make a profit, and yet when confronted about the Billion + profits each year, they wiggle their way out of an explanation.

Our government could step in and make these companies produce more fuel, and lower prices, but they do not. And why should they, the commander in chief is making a killing off of the stocks he owns.

This president, and staff of friends, have done what ever they have wanted to do. He even became president almost 8 years ago when a majority of the nation did not vote for him. Some how it all came down to Florida, a state where his Brother is Governor.

Of course, the nation was dumb enough to re-elect him though... DOH!

Now, sadly our country and some others are fighting in a war, and occupying a country that we have no place of being in. And even though I do not support the war, I do plan to join the Air Force after a lose some weight, and do my part.

I think it is also sad that thanks to this money hungry idiot, just about every nation in the world thinks even less of our country now. Sometimes it is just best to mind your own business and help only when asked, and not stick your nose in to every one else's business just because.

I beg to differ on him keeping us safe. Unless of course if you disregard 9/11 and Katrina...
