Actually, no they didn't. They tried to remake the original "Time Machine" (I don't think the Guy Pearce version sucked, but it didn't really hold a candle to the original) No, Pal's idea for "Time Machine II" involved the son of the original time traveller growing up as an orphan after his parents (George and Weena) are killed in the London blitz. Discovering his father's research, he builds his own time machine, and attempts to go back in time to save his parents...

There's a script for Time Machine II, a series of pre-production paintings and a novelization. The only reason it didn't get done was George Pal passed away before production could actually begin. (many of the paintings I mentioned were printed in an early issue of Starlog.)

And I agree, Jonny Quest would be a film I'd pony up $8.00 to see. Last time someone talked about actually doing one was with Fred Dekker ("The Monster Squad") Unfortunately, Hanna and Barberra were jerkwads and nixed the project.

I am really simple minded when it comes to this topic! I just want to see the final trilogy in the Star Wars saga made into film!! I have not read a single Star Wars book so it would be a new experience to me. Oh, the Thundercats would be awesome. And a good remake of He-Man! I'll shut up now.
