The bureaucrats would demand a board of inquiry, but the officers of the line would make sure nothing bad happened to her.

Also, she could argue that she wasn't the one who violated the temporal prime directive since that woman doesn't exist yet...(and won't ever) ....she'd have to explain everything, but the fact that she got the ship and crew back is HUGE and I'm sure Star Fleet would realize that.

Yes, but it would have been bureaucratic and perfunctory in nature. Voyager had been receiving Star Fleet communiques for a couple years thanks to our pal Reg Barclay. Cpt. Janeway's 'choices' over the years were undoubtedly scrutinized. And, as we saw in "Nemesis" she was promoted to Admiral.

I doubt they would tear it apart, seeing as how the team that invented most of the advanced technology is right there, Starfleet just has to ask nicely

I think the crew and Janeway would have faced the mother of all debriefing sessions when they got back, even more so since if they had transmitted all their files before they returned there would have been even more questions to answer. I wonder if by then dead issues (such as the Maquis) would have been bothered with, but what about the Equinox business, or the episode where they awoke the two warring races and then just left them to their war again? Surely those actions were so serious they couldn't be ignored, even if they did deal the Borg a heavy blow. What about her abuse of the time travel to get her own way? Do you think she would have put in her log that she came back from the future to significantly alter a timeline she didn't like or would Temporal Agents have detected it anyway?
She would have certainly fought for Seven, but Seven was so de-borged by the time they got back they would learn more just by asking her about her technology, and reviewing the ships logs. Still can't figure how she got Admiral though! |

If I remember correct, the public was pretty excited about the Voyager and its story. Wasnt there a scene with fireworks, celebrating Voyagers return, in the last episode?
Makes sense for Starfleet to promote her anyway for all the good PR. |

If Starfleet was smart, they'd "retire/decomison" Voyager, spend the next however long taking it apart to learn all the secrets to start the porcess of making it viable for retrofitting on the entire fleet.

Agree with the PR angle part, irrespective of her command decisions they would have been heroes on their return.

But Janeway committed so many offenses, that there would have ot be at leats a token Board of Inquiry at least. If not a full court martial for entering into an alliance with the Borg.
