I was watching the episode "Q Who?" the other night and I had to laugh when they showed the Borg nursery and the baby Borg.
Was this a concept that was later retconned? I always thought that all Borg were assimilated and that they did not reproduce.

I think they assimilate the babies once they get old enough. That is why they are put in those maturation chambers.

Yeah, that's how I took it. Seven was assimilated when she was a young child and obviously her implants were replaced as she grew....the same could be done with a baby. I didn't figure it was the product of a borg union....

Borg first had no gender... that changed when a Queen and later Seven were needed to show something.

Originally they didn't have gender, but along the way they got it. They changed alot from their first appearence.
