Christopher Eccleston played Dr. Who for season one.

It took a minute to look that up.

That was never meant to be a full-blown TV show (as far as I know), just a TV movie.
It was a "back door pilot" as the Americans say. They were testing the water and had it been successful a series would've followed. And I'm glad it didn't. Changes they had planned were the Cybermen becoming mostly organic cyborg pirates and Daleks pepperpot shaped casing being replaced with spider-like armour. Here's test footage of one.

That's part of the British series currently on air. You confused people by saying it was made by Sci-Fi, which it wasn't.

I still may have it wrong, because I really do not watch the show.

I think it is because the old series used to scare me as a kid. lol, all of those freaky lights and worm holes.

Always liked Sarah Jane. She was cool.

(Almost punched the TV when they just about killed of K-9 in that recent episode of Doctor Who, mind. I reckon that would have upset me even more than when Data died.)

The old series scared me, too. Because of that Chinese guy with the flashing eyes and mind control hypnosis. But then I got over it. Eventually.

Could you not tell that the whole thing was British, made by the BBC and had the same companion from one season to the next?

No offence intended.

It was a moment of Desecration of the Fundamentals of the show.
