Sara Jane Smith?
Finally! Liz Sladen comes to American TV in the second spin off series from the new Doctor Who.... "The Sara Jane Smith Chronicles" It seems she and k-9 are going to be kicking *** and taking names on Sci Fi Friday nights.
YAY!!!!

Other than Benny Hill, Are You Being Served, Simon Pegg movies, and a couple of other UK series, it is difficult for me follow British Television.

I really liked Green Wing, which ran a year or so ago on BBC-America. Well, at least the first series did, apparently we'll never get the rest of the show, dammit.
And they won't release a Region 1 DVD of it either. Rackin'-frickin'.... I miss Sue White and GuyBall...

I gather (though not actually having a chance to watch it yet) that K9 is not participating in the events of this series. But watch out for the Starfleet Galaxy map in the background.

I think it's called "Sarah Jane Adventures" but that is just me being picky.
 I'm really looking forward to when the actual Doctor Who returns. That will be fun.

Any one remember when Sci-Fi channel tried to remake Dr.Who?
It only lasted one season, then they started airing the new UK series.

I think you are thinking of the Fox Channel. They did a TV movie with Paul McGann as the Dr., (regenerating from Sylvester McCoy) It was a cute show, but it didn't quite fly in the US.
