Default Never try to mess with the Big Bird ?

Our challenge for the future is that we realize we are very much a part of the earth's ecosystem, and we must learn to respect... ouch... never mind... we have a lift off!

That is soooo sad. It would have been funny if it didn't fall into the fire.

When I look at birds and animals, their survival is without rules, without conditions, without organization... that's nature.

Any other "intelligent" quotes about beauty of nature that could fit more or less. The latter is prefered because I am not in a hippie mood today. But perhaps you are?

PS: Ditroi, yes its kind of sad. But believe me, air flight and bird life, dog and cat...

And some say the bird strike video is a hoax anyway.

I can't help but recall the story of a wounded seal rescued by environmentalists off the coast of California. A lot of time, effort and money were expended by them to nurse the seal back to health, and when the seal was healthy and well, it's caretakers took it to Puget Sound in Washington State to release it back into the wild in what they thought was a reasonably safe environment. The seal was released into the sound to much applause and fanfare, and as it was swimming away and the people on the beach were waving, a twenty five foot Orca shot up out of the depths and ate the seal in one bite. Needless to say, those folks got a hard lesson in reality that day.

The good news would be: it didn't feel a thing after flying into the tank. In that sense, the bird was much luckier it didn't fly along a few seconds later.

That's so weird. I wonder if if the shuttle sends some sort of signal or vibration that attracts birds, because it seemed like some birlds just flew directly into it.

Maybe the birds are trying to stow away. It could be they know something's up, and are trying to leave Earth while there's still a chance...
