The summer movie was called "Probe" and in 1972 it became a short-lived NBC series "Search" both starring Hugh O'Brian.
Here's the opening of the pilot movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVVbYXG557c&NR=1 And, the series also starring O'Brian and featuring Doug McClure and Tony Francisa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwOmm...eature=related Any one remember this? |

Oh, absolutely, Gary! Used to watch it regularly, while it lasted.
I dig these trips down TV memory lane, thanks.

The Champions. While this UK product aired in 1968, it became known in the USA during the early 70's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDW2VoS1x74 |

I've only heard of that one, from another TREK fan just recently as it happens.
Btw, any of you remember the 70s series Quark? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pqLjOg0hwo Sort of a pre-Galaxy Quest satire of TREK in a way, but very short-lived.

The interesting thing about Search/Probe is, that at the time we all thought that tech like that was just pure science fiction. Now of course, much of it looks a little quaint...

I remember all the shows and movies, but my favorite was Space: 1999. The second season wasn't so good but Maya was easy on the eyes. I'm guessing no one remembers "The Man from Atlantis"?
