Which TNG-era Enterprise did you feel best fit the look and feel of the 24th Century?

--USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (Galaxy-class)
--USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E (Sovereign-class)

My choice is the Enterprise-D

You forgot the B model which was in service in the early 24th century there AA.

I like the D personally too.

The D took a while to grow on me but I'd take it over the E any day.

Definitely the D, it had a great, visceral design and it looked great from any angle. I never like the E, head on, it looked squashed and didn't have the elegance the D or TOS, TMP Enterprises had. Basically the D looked like a ship the culture that designed TOS Enterprise would build 100 years down the road.

The best description of this ship I ever heard, "What if Excelcior and Voyager had a love child? The Enterprise-E would be it."

Yeah, I can definitely see that. I mean it doesn't look bad, it's a nice looking ship, but to me, it's not the Enterprise. There's just something about TOS, TMP Enterprises and the D. The Enterprise to me is as much a character as her crew and the design of the ship, cause of that reason, must be bang on!

I always thought the D was a little silly looking.
E just looked tougher and less "cushy."
