Ouch!

Hate to be the one to tell you this - but your scaling is off. 'Enterprise' should be about 2/3 the way in towards the bridge module, and the registration number goes roughly where you have the name right now. (...and the name should run 'straight', not reverse-arched.)

Constructive criticism aside, looks like you're on to something - it's looking good!

Zardoz, i wasn't critiquing his 3-D work, the discussion was about a posted photo from the teaser trailer that i thought might have been the top aft portion of the secondary hull, and that Gunny1 insisted was the forward part of one of the nacelles. As it turns out, Gunny was right. I reviewed the teaser in slow motion and he is correct. But i was not "nay-saying" him, and i appreciated his 3-D work very much. VERY much.

I hope he comes back and works some more of his 3-D magic Zardoz.

Don't be a hater. You are entirely right about the scale. There's some distortion caused by the proximity of the camera to the saucer, throwing off the dimensions in the "flat" image. That's hard to compensate for. I need to d/l and watch the trailer again a few dozen times before proceeding.

Probably the brilliant people know, but just in case they don't there's a very high resolution image of the "front" shot at ncc1701. I don't know if that's helpful, but in case it is, I want to make sure you know about it. It unzips as 26+inches by 17+ inches @ 72dpi.
