I ask because I wonder if the Admins know how much work running a Star Trek message board can be and what a pain in the butt a lot of fans are? If they have not been around Trek fans then nothing can prepare them for what's ahead. They'll probably just give up trying to maintain the board at all. I'll be amazed if the site lasts past a year.

That they can. They've had several volunteers already (in this very sub-forum, somewhere. I think).

Wonder if they'll use the same boards if they make Star Trek 12 and just add onto them... Then I can see it go further.

I can't really remember, but did Nemesis have fourms? I remember it had that cool little game, where you take turns building torpedos and then the captain tries to hit the enemy ship and everything... That was pretty fun.

I would imagine they just had a sub forum on the startrek.com boards but I can't say for certain, might be time for the Way Back Machine

I'm sure it'll be open until sometime after the film comes out on DVD. Then I'd guess it would go away.

Well, considering the fact that there already is a messege board at Star Trek.com, I wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of this one after the film has hit theatres. I hope they don't, but I mean it would mean they spend less money on an additional official Star Trek messege board endorsed by Paramount. Maybe, it could stay if Bad Robot would pay for it, or maybe it would stay if Paramount wanted it, who knows. Only time will tell...

This board's template and software is leaps and bounds better then the one at st.com. I'd rather they just keep this board and import the messages from st.com (keep the board structure), then get rid of that old ugly board.

Totally! It's also too bright for my taste.
