st.com needs a major overhaul if they're going to keep it around. There are technical issues as well as ongoing Admin issues. Someone needs to clean up the board and also make it function properly on a technical basis.

Doesn't st.com reflect all the shows and movies already?

I think Admin_Borg is trying to do that right now...we have st.com's answer to The Poseidon Adventure going on at the moment!

If I could just go back to spacing properly without those bloody question marks showing up everywhere.

If you remember, the new TV shows aired on the UPN (which was a Paramount company). UPN paid a licensing fee back to Paramount Studios to create the TV series and in doing so UPN now owned the TV shows which they produced. When the companies split and UPN went to CBS (and ultimately became The CW) ownership of the TV series went to CBS. Hence you now have the series owned by CBS and the movies owned by Paramount.

Even on the TWOK Enterprise that's out, it carries both a (c) for CBS and a (c) for Paramount...

So if a Star Trek series began in the future, that would be on CBS rather than the CW channel?

Okay then, so how does that work for the new movie...it's a movie being made by Paramount, but the setting and most of the characters are from the Original Series...a tv show. Does Paramount have to pay a royalty to CBS to use the TOS characters?

Can someone give a summary of what has been happening on Startrek.com for those who kind of left those boards? I'm just waiting for the rest of the site to be active again (Like the main page and maybe a picture highlighting "The Changeling" Remastered this weekend instead of Taste of Armageddon) so I don't really visit the boards anymore.

StarTrek.COM has a new mod, called "Admin Borg".

Already, some on that site have been getting the "Warning Cards Of Doom"

They've also reversed the configuration of the boards, so the last message appears at the top of the thread, rather than the bottom.

Also, if you post the colour red, it appears as blue and vice versa.

Actually that last one was a lie.

Wouldn't that be confusing?
