Maybe the Enterprise is designed to float? Would the broadness of the saucer section keep it upright, or would it turn turtle?

You did read a couple of posts up the line that it's a joke right? Because of all the hoopla about the teaser trailer?

This is interesting. Where did you find it?

And Zefram...I think yours is a marvelous job.

If this is addressed to me (you didn't say), then yes, I know it was a joke; I was joking too, although I do have a passing curiosity whether the shape would actually not capsize if it were immersed.

This is one of the limitations of written messages; the nuance of voice tone and body language are lost. Not to worry.

To the question of the source of the Reliant picture, some years ago there was a web site called 'You Can't Do That On Star Trek', which hosted many photoshopped pics from Trek, usually funny, and I collected many of them. This higher resolution pic of the Reliant was kindly given to me by its creator (I'm sorry to say I don't now have a record of his name, or I would give him his due recognition). I have several other hi-res pics that various artists gave me; I may be the only one left who has them. I also have many lower res pics from the collection.

Regrettably the 'You Can't' web site came to a sudden end when its administrator stopped administrating due to busyness, and no new pics were posted, and that little community of Trek artists scattered to the winds.

Well, there it is, it was built in the 20's by cranes! No but seriously nice pic, could polish it up a bit as others said and it'd really rock! You know, my avatar might fit in there pretty well!
