Default Venus in the evening

Venus is now at its brightest at 5 A.M. in the southeast (viewed from the Northern Hemisphere), when the sky is still dark, but also impressive at 5:30, when the sky has become blue, until sunrise.

Yeah it's looking great at the moment, will have to get a photo! Anyone seen the phases of Venus through binoculars or anything?

I didn't notice that the software somehow changed my thread title. What I typed was simply Venus and didn't notice it was being automatically changed. It was several months ago that Venus was visible in evening, which it will be again a few months from now. I made a thread with that title last year, and somehow the forum software expanded what I typed this time.

But now at 5 A.M. it's spectacular, although most people are sleeping then.

And last night the moon and Jupiter were close together and should be quite a sight tonight, as well. The moon must have crossed in front of Jupiter at one point, but I wasn't outside at the right time for that.

It's pretty bright down under too! Especially around 5am.

Mars will be close to the moon tonight, Jupiter is now well ahead of the moon, and Venus is still like a beacon at 5 A.M.
