I heard a ruomor that CBS wants to incorperate Trek totally into it's own site, now that they own it via the Paramount merger.

So if this is true, ST.com's day might indeed be numbered.

I personally think it's hillarious that CBS, the network that turned down Trek flat in the 60's, now owns it.

There should be a StarTrek.com ! I mean think about it. Anyone who sees anything Star Trek related is going to go there for more information. Why incorporate it when it has the best possible address for visibility. Or does incorporate mean the CBS staff takes over the duties of maintaining the site?

Anyway I think ST has enough followers to keep a site going. There are conventions every year. It's just not making big corporate dollars anymore.

It's kind of sad. It's another reminder that ST TV is probably not comming back.

Hopefully the movie will revive it.

I have to admit some of the technobable scenes with shields down to 40% and 10 seconds left on the clock were getting really old.

I still love ST though.
