Original Galaxy Class wins my vote. Ive often wondered what a Galaxy class starship with the future voyager armor would look like.

Maybe that 3rd nacelle was for Transwarp?

I doubt it. We've seen transwarp with 2 nacelles. Speed in general isnt the problem, its keeping a ship together at higher speeds.

The enterprise D model from Generations is the same model they used in the first 2 1/2 seasons of the series. It was then decided to build a smaller, more detailed model (complete with raised panels) This smaller model was then used for the rest of the series run, inc All Good Things.
For the movie it was decided that the smaller model wasn't 'movie worthy' so they brought the larger 6ft model out of storage, gave it a new paint job and it was then used for the movie. The rest is history.. |

I was not a fan of the "D" when she first came out. It took a while to grow on me. But if I had to choose the one I liked most it would be the smaller version they built after season 2. But to be quite honest my favorite of all Enterprise'ds would have to be NCC-1701-C. She was Beautiful!

doubt it....Transwarp through nacelles seems unlikely...drag coefficient would only get higher.

The Constellation has 4 nacelles, and I always wondered why.
The only other TNG class with 3 nacelles is the Niagara, I think... and the Freedom had only one!

Because according to Roddenberry's Law, Nacelles come in pairs of 2.
