I'm conflicted - I have very good friends who cheer for both teams - So I'm just looking for a good game - when they played in week 16, it was a good game - so I'm hopeful.
I usually care a lot more about football, but my team is out of it. |

Finally someone brings up the history part. So many people say they are tired of seeing the Patriots winning, but you don't want to see history? Also, I don't like Eli for his little "I don't want to go to San Diego" talk (The Raiders might have ended up owning the Chargers than) so that's another reason to root for the Patriots.

Tom Brady or Eli Manning???
![]() I guess Tom Brady, I'm kinda sick of hearing the 1972 Dolphins talk about how good they are.

I'm a Pittsburgh Steeler fan. I'd like to see the Patriots win for the fact that, how many times in your life will you ever see a team go undefeated?

*nods* That's exactly it! How Peyton turned out so right, and his little brother so very wrong, is beyond me. But wow, how arrogant must you be to go "I'll only play for a specific NFL team"??? Gah!

Indeed. Lucky for the Chargers is worked in thier favor, but why is Payton such a good guy while his brother and father are so freaking arrogant. It's beyong my comprehension.

I'll second Kyp's sentiment about the Packers, which was really the matchup I was hoping to watch. But given the matchup, I'm thinking the Pats will win but not cover the spread (unless it's dropped radically since I last looked). I have no favorite to root for (LA doesn't even have a arfing team still!), but I will root for the undefeated history angle. If it's a good game I'll be satisfied. The Giants will have to play up a notch to worry NE, but the Pats have wiggled out of every tight game corner this season. I don't see NY ending that trend.

![]() Anyway, that's a reason I've been rooting for the patriots, and I want to see history too. |
