The reason why this is extremely interesting to me isn't because of the detection of gravitational waves. They'll eventually do that with these experiments. But I was a person that thought neutron stars couldn't have mountains because of the hydrostatic effect.
Even more so the concept of Quark Stars is incredibly fascinating too. Definitely a research point. Nice post Omega.
