That would be cool I guess. I hate the glasses, and generally am not a big fan of 3-D in general. It often doesn't look quite natural to me.

I guess this new Trek movie is going to be in 3-d, although I believe it is going to be a post production conversion. I will probably just go to the 2-D one.

I don't mind the glasses when there is actually something or mostly 3D to look at. I do mind the glasses when most of the film is 2D. This is why it's not smart to buy these TV's with the so called 3D thing for 6,000 dollars. This new tech will eventually come to your home and frankly right now the normal Flat Panel is amazing for watching HD, the 3D aspect was a gimmick from go. What this article is talking about is as close to holographic as we can get.

So this is based on the trick of the 3D picture postcards, which are vertically ribbed with the appropriate views on each side of a rib, which I thought was a pretty clever idea when I first saw it, after having read comic books and seen some movies that required red-and-blue 3D glasses.

However, I've heard mixed reviews about how it works. Some folks say the 3D effect is just fine, while others state that the 3D effect looks like a layered PhotoShop picture....or similarly, how the old black and white Popeye cartoons (think Popeye in the old "Sinbad" cartoon) would appear.
