Alphas
I was just curious if anyone here was aware of this ScyFy show that debuted last year called "Alphas". It's a little bit like CSI meets Heroes meets The 4400. Anyway its produced by two DS9 veterans, Ira Stephen Behr (who executive produced The 4400), and Robert Hewitt Wolfe, and one of the first season episodes guest stars Brent Spiner. It's second season started up last week, and a week before that season one received its Dvd release. Episodes are available for streaming on Netflix, GooglePlay, or Amazon.com. I've just seen the pilot, and I think it is pretty darn good. I heard nothing about the series in the media, even though I regularly monitor various websites about news on upcoming sci-fi TV shows and movies.

It's first season has aired in the UK, however it was about half-way through when I found it on the schedules so didn't watch it further.
It comes out on DVD later in the year so I should be able to put it on rental and check it out then. That's what I'm doing with Terra Nova and Alcatraz.

Plus I sort of want to see how they can pass Vancouver off as San Francisco. More seriously, I have a few of these short lived genre series in the home collection (Firefly, Tru Calling, Dollhouse and Harper's Island) anyway. Just coz a show didn't make it long term does it mean I wouldn't enjoy it while it lasted!
