I getcha there.

But, I bet a lot of those writers used "Jackill's" manuals to write their fanfics/make their videos. I put about as much stock in Jackill (entertaining as it is) as I do in someone trying to sell me oceanfront property in Colorado.

No, I draw from official sources, (Lucasfilm Archives) although as I said, in Galactica's case, I did have to fudge some. I want to make it an entertaining fight. And I hope it is one you will find entertaining. If you like the story so far, I hope you'll love the action.

PROGRESS REPORT:

Ok....so I went and pulled a George Lucas of sorts.
Even though my version of the mighty battlestar looks heavily armed...all we really see are her anti-capital ship turrets....her pulsars if you will. I went back and modified my model to include the anti-starfighter cannons that dot and line the battlestar. I think I lost count of just how many I put on her, but I put them in sensible places. Now she looks even more battle ready than before. So I reshot a few of the Galactica shots to introduce the updated version of my model.

Don't worry....there aren't gonna be any "who shot who first" scenarios. And there definitely won't be any cutesy critters, mechanical or otherwise. (Sorry, Muffit. )

PROGRESS REPORT:

Movie is now almost 35 minutes long....and that's just with shots I've been completing. There are still a TON of other shots that have to be made to go in between what's already transpired...insert photography and dialogue/scenes. Yep, I do believe I will get at least broadcast episode time out of this.

Another teaser....
Ok folks, here is the much improved version of the Vipers chasing the TIEs past the Irrefutable. Much more dynamic.

Two versions....one with, and one without captions. I added captions just in case the pilots were kind of hard to understand, using the radio effect. (I use walkie talkies sometimes to create a convincing and dirty radio effect.)

Non-captioned:

Thanks, Omegaman.
Yeah, I'll have the full story hopefully up in about a couple of months...the story itself is still a work in progress, so who knows truly how long it'll be...two months is a rough (and perhaps overly hopeful) guesstimate. It's intended to look "cartoony".

Saquist, I put up two links. Check out the second link...it has captions....I put them up in anticipation of such a problem. I'll probably end up redoing the audio since it did turn out worse than I thought. But yeah, click on the second link I provided.

Alrighty, third time's charm.
Here's the scene with improved audio and vocal clarity.
