Oddly reminiscient of both The Tholian Web and TMP spacesuits. Wonder what he's approaching.

A drifting Botany Bay? A weird space phenomenon? Or a way back into the Enterprise after being kicked off by Kirk in revenge?

A Volcano...................I don't remember one of those in TOS until TSFS......and Genesis!

But yeah, I had not read the link yet and thought the volcano bit was a joke. I think I like my kicked off the Enterprise idea better!

Hmm, originally they were contemplating filming in Hawaii, that ties in with the Volcano I guess.
