Kiefer Sutherland Furious as Fox Pulls Plug on '24' Movie (Exclusive)

Fox will greenlight a budget no higher than $30 million, while Sutherland and producer Brian Grazer feel the budget needs to be in the low $40s at its tightest. Come on Fox you've wasted hundreds of millions of dollars box office flops and your quibbling over $10 million on a sure fire box office hit? Is making movies now about tax write off's?

How would they have done a 24 movie?
18 movies at 1h30m each or 15 movies at 1h45m each or 12 movies at 1h30m each? Or would it have run 24 hours? The whole premise of the series was 24 40-43 minute vignettes (40 min representing 1 hour in tv time plus ads) so that we get to see a day in the life of Jack throughout the season.

And I'm not going to lie, I would have gone to see it. I loved that show and all it's over the top shenanigans.

They probably would have not done it in strict 24 hours or 'cheated' by having bigger time cuts.
I guess the title would be a problem though! I never saw it but I was under the impression that 'Redemption' didn't take place over a 24 hour period?
